AT&T’s Get Network Ready program simplifies the process of getting your eligible data-only or data-with-voice device ready for network operation. This program ensures reliable connectivity and optimal performance for devices deployed in North America. It’s also designed to help with any issues in advance, reducing or eliminating expensive redesign.
For devices deployed exclusively outside of North America, visit the Global Compatibility page.
Do I need additional testing?
Begin the process by determining whether the device you plan to connect to the network is already certified by AT&T or whether it requires additional testing and validation.
If your device is using an AT&T approved module from our module catalog, Network Ready certification is easy.
If your device is not using an AT&T approved module, learn more here.
AT&T is proud to support the first interoperable nationwide public safety communications platform. If you are interested in certifying your device for FirstNet, learn more here.
Global compatibility allow you to operate on a carrier’s network outside of North America. Devices operate in permanent roaming or a local mobile network operator configuration
If you are certifying a device with an AT&T approved module, follow these 3 steps for Network Ready certification.
Any authorized PTCRB lab can complete INC testing. The list of authorized PTCRB labs is here and AT&T has preferred labs and resources to assist you.
As part of our IoT Accelerator program, AT&T has partnered with these PTCRB labs for exclusive tiered test pricing.
Your devices must meet PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB) global industry standards to ensure they are compatible on our network. Three tests are required:
Once you have completed INC certification and received your PTCRB request number, submit your devices for AT&T certification.
To test your device you will order AT&T TRENDI SIMs. These SIMs are designed exclusively for Test Requirement for Evaluating Network Ready Devices for IoT (TRENDI), not for development. TRENDI SIMs allow you to verify that your devices will work on our network and can receive SMS messages. TRENDI takes about 24 hours to complete, and you can use a single AT&T SIM for testing.
Certified devices must comply with either of two identification methods
If your device is branded by AT&T or part of a larger AT&T solution, and you have an AT&T business sponsor, we require additional device testing for a Network Optimized certification. To learn more, check with your AT&T business sponsor.
Devices using an unapproved module are required to complete a more rigorous process for AT&T certification including the following.
If you are interested in certifying a device with an unapproved module, please contact us, and we will provide more details on the certification process.
